Bushiroad has finally addressed the shortage of Dawn of Palpagos, the first Palworld Official Card Game booster set, saying it is still working out internally what to do. The statement comes after weeks of people being unable to find the set at retail, with the scalper market filling that gap the way everyone figured it would.
The apology went up on the Palworld OCG Japanese account.
We would like to sincerely apologize to all of you who have been eagerly awaiting the product, as we are currently experiencing a continued shortage, making it difficult for many to obtain the item.
At present, we are internally discussing measures to ensure that more of you can receive the product.
We will provide further updates on our response in the near future.
We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to those of you who are waiting, and kindly ask for your patience just a little while longer.

Good on them for acknowledging it, and honestly, how could they not. Bushiroad announced 3.5 million packs sold worldwide on July 9, three full weeks before the set reached shelves. Demand here was never a mystery. The misprinted boxes reading “Palword” have only added fuel to it, since a first print error is exactly the kind of thing collectors chase.
What’s missing is a date.
Bushiroad did not say when a reprint would arrive, only that something is being discussed. That matters because the calendar behind the scenes is already crowded. Sleeve & Card Set Vol. 1 is scheduled for October 2, and the second booster set, Legends Awaken, lands October 30th with preorders open since June.
Print runs committed to those products are not print runs going toward more Dawn of Palpagos, so any reprint has to fit into a window that is already tight.
The hope is that it comes soon. Getting product back on shelves at normal prices is the best thing that could happen to the game right now, both for players trying to build a deck without paying scalper rates and for local shops that want to run events.
